Below you can read the abstract:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Purpose of this study is to explore the effects of CST on the chronic headache patients, and the research was used the one-group pre-test\/post-test design.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The subjects were 31 chronic headache patients, who received Craniosacral therapy by once per week for 6 weeks.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The data were collected from 01-07-2003 to 28-08-2003.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In order to evaluate the effects of craniosacral therapy, Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) for headache intensity, blood pressure, pulse rate, respiration rate, craniosacral rhythm rate, depression and stress perception were measured before and after treatment.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results are as follows:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The score of systolic blood pressure significantly decreased after each session of Craniosacral therapy, and the mean score of diastolic blood pressure significantly decreased after 3rd session of Craniosacral therapy. The means of pulse, respiration and Craniosacral impulse rate significantly decreased after each session of Craniosacral therapy.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The score of intensity of headache significantly decreased after each session of Craniosacral therapy.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The score of depression significantly decreased and stress also significantly decreased after Craniosacral therapy.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The results of this study suggest that Craniosacral therapy could be an effective nursing intervention to reduce the intensity of headaches.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Choi, Song-Sil (Department of Nursing, Choonhae College) and&nbsp;&nbsp;Park, Hyoung-Sook (Department of Nursing, Pusan National University) published in 2004 an article about the effects of Craniosacral Therapy (CST) on chronic headache.
